Passionflower has been used as a strong calming and relaxing herb. It has been used in cases when other calming herbs are not enough. It is commonly found in formulas for more stubborn sleeplessness, anxiety, nervousness, heath palpitations and restlessness. Some have also used it for seizures, epilepsy, and for the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
