Mugwort has been used as a beer flavoring before hops became more popular. Traditionally, mugwort has been used as a nervine for nervousness and insomnia. It is also thought of as stimulant for the liver and digestion. It is said to help slow excessive bleeding. It has been claimed to supposedly help to prevent false miscarriages when combined with other herbs.
