Kudzu is known to be an invasive weed in the Southeast of the USA, but it is said to have some good uses for health. In the past it has been used to help relieve muscle tension in the neck and shoulder area, treat colds and flus, and to supposedly neutralize poisons and viral infections. Kudzu has been used as a mild tonic because it purportedly can replenish body fluids. In the East, it is used as a thickening agent in soups and stews.
