This delicate green can be found in abundance around your garden. It may seem like a weed, but it actually has been used as a pot herb (nutritive). Chickweed is said to contain cortisone-like properties that are thought to be useful for skin inflammation complaints, like rashes, eczema and psoriasis. Traditionally, it has been helpful for lowering fevers. In the past it was used for weight loss because it seems to aid in flushing out excess water.
